This modules aims to a common data policy for the data exchange within the framework of the project. Second Year Results A very important Information Management System - the Adricosm-Star GeoPortal - has been upgraded from the first year to consider a cataloguing tool. The GeoPortal objectives
During the second year of the Project, the main structure of the portal has been created and all the Partners were able to set up their own network web pages containing information on their products and the services they provide. A catalogue of the products has been created by all partners, showing all the data they can share and providing all the information needed to view and access the data. Another important achievement was the set up of a "discovery service" which allows the user to search (in space and time) for the products through the web portal, according to the definition of the catalogue.
The Adricosm-Star GeoPortal will increase its practical importance in the third year of the project, when an efficient data flow is required, due to all the integration issues, and it can be considered as a European prototype in terms of information management system.
First Year Results A "GeoPortal" was created with the aim of supporting the data exchange and the implementation of tools to facilitate the access to data and information through web portals. They will allow the rapid dissemination of project results. Work has started to define protocols for data quality control. |
