Net Volume Transports are measured in Sverdrups (Sv = 106 m3/s), and calculated for the Strait of Gibraltar, Sicily Channel, and Corsica Channel.

MFS sys3a climatology is calculated from MFS sys3a model analysis since January 1999 until the last week, updated weekly.

Net Volume Transport values are positive for the northward (Corsica and Sicily Channels) and eastward (Strait of Gibraltar) directions.
